The Windows Store will soon be a thing of the past, reports Windows Central. In the latest Windows 10 build that Microsoft is rolling out to its Insider users, the Windows Store has changed its name to Microsoft Store, as well as received a new icon on the desktop. In other respects, no changes seem to have taken place. The name change could be a sign that Microsoft plans to start selling more than just software through its application.
Today, the Microsoft Store already exists as an online store, so it is likely that much of the content there will be moved over to the Windows application.
