During the Nokia World 2011 trade show in London this week, Nokia showed off a brand new type of user interface that the company is experimenting with. Instead of using a touchscreen, Nokia is testing a technology that involves bending the phone at different angles to navigate apps.
In a video from the fair, a Nokia employee demonstrates how the technology can be used to zoom in and out of images.
According to Nokia, the technology should make the phone extremely durable and also waterproof. However, Nokia has not stated if the technology will be used in the future and if so when we can expect to see bendable phones on the market.
