ZTE Blade 2 is released today in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. According to ZTE, the new model is both faster and thinner than the predecessor ZTE Blade. The ZTE Blade previously stood out for being one of the cheapest smartphone models on the market.
– The ZTE Blade 2 has improved in basically every area compared to its predecessor. Consumers get a better mobile for the same price, something that makes it possible for more users regardless of budget to take advantage of the growing range of functions and applications for smartphones, says Nicklas Sivander, at ZTE Sweden.
The new model is powered by a 1 gigahertz processor and Android 2.3. The thickness is 10.5 millimeters and the phone supports Turbo 3g and wireless network. In addition, the new model has a new proprietary interface called Mifavor.
The camera has a resolution of five megapixels and the display is 3.5 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The working memory is 512 megabytes and it comes with a memory card of two gigabytes, which can be upgraded to 16 gigabytes.

The ZTE Blade 2 is sold from today at Tre, Comviq and Telenor. The price is set by the respective operator. The cash price is approximately SEK 1,695.
