If you like the group calling feature of Skype, we can tell you that the cap on the number of participants has now doubled from 25 to 50. Whether you use voice calls or video calls does not matter at all.
For comparison, a maximum of 32 people can use the corresponding function in Apple’s Facetime, but it is possible to be 100 people in Google Meet or Zoom.
In this context, it can be mentioned that Microsoft has also decided that notifications should be the default for informing about incoming group calls, in other words, there will be fewer ringtones in the future.
