With the app Shift you turn your computer into a media server and can then stream music, movies and photos from the computer via your Android smartphone to, for example, a screen or TV, provided that the device is DNLA certified or UPNP compatible.
Imagine you are visiting someone and want to show them a holiday movie stored on your computer. Then you can use Shifta to play it on your friend’s TV via your smartphone. You don’t need to copy any files, instead everything is streamed. Similarly, you can play your songs on your friend’s stereo, if it works with the technology.
