The other day a small, but important update was released to the popular media center solution Plex. As of version 0.9.12.3, you can connect via encrypted https connections, which means improved security.
To check if the connection is secure, go to Settings -> Server -> Network. If Secure Connections is enabled, everything should be fine.
A lock icon and green text in the address field signal that the connection is via https.
The new version has been released for a wide range of platforms, including Windows, OS X and Android. As for IOS, an update is promised shortly.
