Geforce RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2070 Super are the names of the two new circuits, and they come in both a standard version and a new “Max-Q” version that should draw half as much power. They achieve this with “dynamic boost” – a technology that automatically distributes power between the processor and graphics card – together with low-power memory and other technologies.
The Max-Q versions enable more powerful graphics performance in thin, light notebooks. Among other things, they will be used in updated models of the Razer Blade 15, which combine the chip with Intel’s new eight-core Core I7-10875H. It goes on sale in May and costs the equivalent of approximately SEK 20,000 including Swedish VAT.
Acer, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI also have new models in the works, both for gamers and professional users in design, 3d and video.
