No Ipod on the next flight to the US?

According to the news site Techcrunch, there are rumors that the American Civil Aviation Authority plans to ban all forms of electronics on incoming international flights to the United States.

If the information is correct, this means that laptops, ipods, mobile phones and portable DVD players must be checked in separately and cannot be taken into the cabin during the journey.

Officially, the US Air Force has only stated that it will introduce increased security checks at various randomly selected airports. Those planning to fly to the US should therefore arrive at the airport well in advance and prepare for delays.
