Rockmelt is a brand new browser built with Google Chromium as the browser engine. The web browser also consists to some extent of a cloud service, which means that all settings that are made follow the user regardless of which computer is used.
The browser also uses Facebook to identify the user and is strongly integrated with a number of other social networks that should provide a more integrated experience of the various services.
The main difference compared to other browsers is that Rockmelt has two columns on either side of the browser window. It makes it possible to quickly chat with friends or write something on their profile page.
In the right column, all bookmarks are saved for quick access to the websites that the user visits most often.
Rockmelt is so far only available in a beta version available to selected test users. However, you can apply to become a trial user on the Rockmelt website.
