Microsoft Edge overtakes Firefox on desktop

The March report from Netmarketshare shows that Microsoft’s Edge browser overtook Firefox in popularity for desktop users during the month of March, reports Windows Latest.

According to Netmarketshare, Edge should now have 7.59 percent of the market, while Firefox has 7.19 percent. However, Google Chrome continues to lead the way with 68.5 percent of the market.

Worth noting is that fourth place is held by old Internet Explorer at 5.87 percent. At the moment, the new Edge must also be downloaded manually, while later this year the browser will be automatically installed for Windows users. This is expected to change the numbers further.
