Remember when choppy gif animations were everywhere in the internet’s infancy? In the prevailing retro trend, they are back – as apps. Swedish developed Loopcam is a free variant for iPhone that looks like a camera. You take multiple pictures while the object in the lens is moving. Save, and Loopcam turns everything into a gif animation in seconds. You have 50 frames. The finished app can then be shared via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, as MMS or email.
Android owners can use the similar one Gifinatorwhich is also available in the paid version Gifinator Plus. For seven kroner, you can film with more than 10 frames and get a better resolution of the footage.
