The updated version of Microsoft’s security program, Security Essentials, works with Windows XP SP3, Vista and Windows 7. The program, which has been in a test version since the end of last year, is also available in Swedish.
According to Microsoft, the new version offers better performance and is said to have improved the ability to detect and stop security threats such as viruses, trojans and other malware.
Microsoft Security Essentials 4.0 will be available through Windows Update, but you can also download the program directly from Microsoft’s website. The program is available in two versions, a 32-bit version (x86) and a 64-bit version (amd64).
