LG announced today that it is the first company in the world to launch an OLED TV with 4k technology on the commercial market. The new TV comes in two models, 77EC980V and 65EC970V, which have a picture area of 77 and 65 inches, respectively.
The image resolution on both models is 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The display is also curved and supports Ultra HD quality.
– The LG 4K OLED TV is a technological marvel and a model that will also change the next generation TV market. The extreme image quality in our 4K OLED TV is as close to reality as it is possible to get today and therefore creates an outstanding added value for the consumer, says Erik Åhsgren, Nordic product specialist for Home Entertainment at LG Electronics.
Both models have the LG Ultra Surround sound system developed together with Harman Kardon.
LG 77EC980V and 65EC970V will be available in the Swedish trade later this fall. The prices are still unknown.
