Android Market, Google Ebookstore and Google Music lost their individual names yesterday and are now called Google Play. By merging the services, Google hopes to make it easier to offer a more complete range.
However, the name change does not mean any major changes to the services themselves.
In a video, Google states that Google Play will become more seamless and users can buy apps, books or music on their smartphone and then access the same material on their tablet.
Google has also integrated Google+ with Google Play. This means that users can share the music they are listening to or the books they are reading.
