Google+ drops requirements for real names

Google announced yesterday that the company is dropping the previous requirement to use real names on the social network Google+. Many users were reluctant to use the service as it was not possible to be anonymous or use an alias.

In a post on Google+, the company writes that it has now realized that many users want to remain anonymous and is therefore easing the rules.

– We know that you have been waiting for this change for a long time, and we apologize for that, writes Google in its post.
