Few users are running the latest version of Windows 10

In October, Microsoft released the latest major update to Windows 10, but public interest in installing the new version does not seem to be very high.

According to a new report from Adduplex, only 26.4 percent of Windows 10 users have installed the October update. This means that 66.3 percent of users run the version from April 2018, while the remaining 6.9 percent run even older versions. The percentage that runs the latest beta version, on the other hand, is 0.4 percent.

The fall update (version 1809) was pulled with major problems, which led to a delayed rollout – something that may partly explain the weak numbers. The next major update of Windows 10 will be released in April, so then users will have another chance to update their computers.
