Microsoft Edge seems to be about to get a new tool, Cleartype, which will make text on web pages clearer and easier to read, especially on LCD screens, reports Windows Latest.
Cleartype is a technology exclusive to Windows 10, so don’t expect Edge to look better on other operating systems. Cleartyper first appeared in preview version 91.0.862.0 of Microsoft Edge. Advance users there have the option to turn on the function so it can adjust the settings for contrast and gamma.
So far, it is unknown when Cleartype might appear in the standard version of Edge.
