Microsoft has released a new version of Skydrive that tries to compete with, among others, Dropbox in the market for synchronization services. Dropbox was no worse, releasing a new feature yesterday that should make it easier for users to share their files.
The new function makes it possible to easily create a link to one or more files that can be sent to another person. The link can then be used to easily download the file(s) specified by the user.
The person receiving the link does not need to have a Dropbox account to be able to download files from the link. In this way, Dropbox hopes to make it easier than before for users to share large files without having to send them via email or other services.
