Amazon removed the listing Saturday morning US time. Before that, PC for Everyone’s sister magazine, PC World, managed to note the technical details of the new tablet.
Acer Iconia W3 has a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, 30 percent higher resolution than Apple’s Ipad mini. The tablet also runs Windows 8 Pro, not Windows RT, and offers 32 gigabytes of storage. The tablet is powered by a dual-core Atom processor from Intel and weighs less than 0.5 kilograms. The price in the listing was set at 380 dollars, corresponding to approximately 2,500 kroner.
It has previously been rumored that Microsoft will release new models of the company’s Surface that have smaller displays.
Neither Amazon nor Acer has commented on the data.
