
Steelseries WoW Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse
This mouse is designed specifically for World of Warcraft and launches on December 7th. Blizzard has even been involved in its development.
The mouse has no less than 14 programmable buttons that can handle over 130 predefined commands and it can store up to 160 character long macros, if you want to create your own combinations.
You can store as many as ten character definitions in the software and have one active in the mouse. The mouse can pulse in four levels in 16 million colors. The precision is up to 5,040 dots per inch and you can use it together with both Mac and PC. In the USA it will cost the equivalent of approximately SEK 700.
Razer Naga Epic Wireless Gaming Mouse
Razer has upgraded its award-winning Naga Epic. The new model, which can be operated both wired and wireless, has a total of 17 programmable and MMO-optimized buttons.
The precision is 5,600 points per inch and the sensor reads the mouse’s movements at 1,000 hertz. The response time is one millisecond.
You can adjust the ergonomics using three different side panels. The mouse can handle 12 hours of continuous gaming and up to 72 hours of more normal gaming between charges. You can complement the software with game-specific add-ons and the backlight can be set to 16 million colors.
The Razer Epic Naga will hit the market at the end of this month and in the US it will cost the equivalent of around 900 kroner.
Cooler Master CM Storm Inferno Gaming Mouse
Cooler Master’s gaming mouse was launched during Quakecon in August and is designed for those who run MMO-type games. The mouse has a sensitivity of 4,000 points per inch, a reading frequency of 1,000 hertz and a response time of one millisecond.
It can store up to three different game profiles, including macros, scripts and so on, in the 128 kilobytes of memory built into the mouse. You access them via the mouse’s eleven buttons, nine of which are programmable. One of the buttons is a special button for rapid “fire release”. CM Storm Inferno costs around SEK 500.
Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700
According to Logitech, the G700 is designed for MMO games such as World of Warcraft. The mouse has a bunch of buttons and a scroll wheel, all programmable so you can link macros or keystrokes to them and thus have 39 different commands just a click away. The wireless connection can handle a reading frequency of 1,000 hertz and the resolution is 5,600 dots per inch. Like the Razer mouse, this one can run both wired and wireless, and it can keep track of up to five gaming or gamer profiles. The price is around SEK 900.
Saitek Cyborg RAT 9
It looks like a spaceship from a Science Fiction, Cyborg RAT 9, with knobs that make it possible to optimize the mouse ergonomically. In addition, there are three different palm rests and three little finger grips to choose from, as well as a bunch of weights that allow you to balance the mouse.
This mouse is wireless and has a resolution of 5,600 dots per inch and a response time of one millisecond. Thanks to an extra battery that is charged in the dock while you play, you can drive without interruption more than to change batteries.
A special precision button allows you to temporarily brake the cursor so you can aim better. The mouse only has five programmable buttons plus the right and left buttons, but you can switch commands on the fly, giving you access to 15. The price is around SEK 1,200.
